Shir Ami is a community that bonds together through both the joys and sorrows of life.  It is a natural reaction to want to help when we hear of a loss in someone’s family.

We are always in need of members who are are able and available to lead shiva minyan services in your neighborhood for Shir Ami members experiencing recent grief.  It makes it much easier on the mourning family to have fellow congregant on hand to lead the short prayer service, giving them one less thing to worry about.

Leading minyan only takes a small amount of your time and it is greatly appreciated. If you are willing to help your congregation in times of need,  please get in contact with Rabbi Elliot Strom or Hilary Leboff so we may put your name on our list of volunteers.
