Theater Group
Looking for a little taste of Broadway? Get some show tunes running through your head with a trip to a live theater performance with the Shir Ami Theater Club!
My name is Andee Losben, chair of the Theater Club. Our group was founded in 1997 as a means for congregants to experience live theater together. We travel to Broadway in New York and we see national tours of shows here in Philadelphia. There is no extra charge for congregants, their families and friends above the cost of the ticket. Some of the shows we have seen are “Wicked,” “La Cage aux Folles,” “The Producers,” “Jersey Boys,” “Billy Elliot,” “South Pacific,” “The Boy From Oz,” and “Spamalot.”
As chair, I stay informed about current Broadway news and book shows early, so that we get good seats and see most new shows before the Tony Awards. However, the main purpose of our Shir Ami Theatre Club has always been camaraderie and enjoying theater together at prices less than at the box office. For information on future shows, please contact me via email, Andee Losben.
